The new ballboy album. I shall have to listen to it a few times before I can form an honest opinion.

My iTunes has started doing this thing where it won't play album tracks in order--does anyone know how to fix this? It's sorted by track number and everything.

Funnily enough, so am I! Did you download it from the ballboy site or itunes? Are all the tracks labelled track number ? of 11 and disc number 1 of 1.

I downloaded fr. Amazon cuz the ballboy site is in pounds and it was about half the price paying in dollars.

I got very aggravated w/the out-of-order thing, so started wildly hitting buttons. I turned the shuffling for that album "on" (which it hadn't been, I swear!) and then "off" and that seems to have done it. I have have been suffering this reluctant and forced randomness for months now. This belongs in the "worst things ever" thread really, doesn't it?

The The "GIANT"

Soul Mining really is great, isn't it? If and when I manage to get some kind of band together when I get back to Leeds, my first order of business will be covering This Is the Day...

I'm resisting the leaks!

But I don't think I'll last. I feel like I need to hear it.

And by me, I mean, Flexo.

I've been listening to this all day:

I haven't listened to it for over a year at least. There's a bit of the middle of the album - from 'Love Runs Clean' through 'Between Delta and Delaware' and onto 'The Foolishness that we Create...' which is right up there wit the best middle bits of any album, I reckon.

I've been listening to this Flying Burrito Brothers song a lot this morning. I'm not sure why; I just love Gram Parsons. And those two weird slide guitar solos (if that's really what they are) are incredible, and I don't usually even like solos.

the trouble with personalities, they're too wrapped up in style
it's too personal; they're in love with their own guile

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers "American Girl"

I'm starting to think this may be the best song ever written by anyone ever. If you heard it in a popclub, would you dance? It's giving me ideas (eg: playing it next time I DJ...)

TacocaT - Shame Spiral

I picked it up from my parents today, it came during the week having ordered it back in June, i'd almost given up hope of ever hearing it, it was worth the wait, and it had a handy MP3 download link with the record as well.

The cover is lovely too.

The vinyl came with a download link? Woohoo! I ordered it ages ago and haven't got it yet so you've given me hope. And a reason to listen to them now too.

Yeah, with a user name and password too, but i didn't need them, it seems that anyone who's got the URL can get it for free.

Looking at a couple of the comments on their Last.FM page though, it looks like they may have only just around to getting the records out.

Either way, you should get it soon i hope.
