yeah.
in new york it barely snows and I have a ridiculously short walk to work and the two combined have proven to be a bit of a problem as now my shoes can work year round, kind of. especially since I've taken to wearing sandals with tights when it's not too, too cold out. So I tell myself that I can buy that pair as I can wear it all year where as before I would only wear boots.

I've just bought these: http://www.karmaloop.com/products.aspx? ... orCode=JEF
because they were having a 60% off sale and I'm a sucker.
Image
I hope they fit okay and look as cute with a pair of tights as I'm imagining.

Those are fascinating to look at. They are sort of like wrestling shoes/boots, but yet they are quite mod with that round toe and all those buckles. And I love shoes in cream and white! I bet they'd look fabulous with matte black, navy, blue, and purple tights.

I WANT MORE SHOES.

Despite having about 30 - 40 (I dare not count properly) pairs in the shoe racks, and 6 pairs that are only for indoor/careful wear/parties.

I WANT MORE SHOES.

I know exactly what styles I am lacking, as I have had to retire quite a few pairs. When I find a pair I love, I wear 'em to bits, literally. I get that uncharming "mouth" when the sole is coming off at the front. Nothing makes you feel classier.

wrestling shoes? heh, I never saw the resemblance until now. great. I just noticed that that site has since jacked up the price and put them on sale. Those rascals!

and after I wrote that about NY winters, it's got to go and be the most merciless one yet. It's freaking freezing.

I bought a ridiculous amount of shoes last year. All these discount department stores are bad for my wallet.

Do you have DSW there? I try to stay away from there as I can easily walk away with a dozen pairs of shoes when I go in. The one we have on the near south side is the largest one I've ever seen. It's incredible. I like taking out-of-towners there, particularly foreigners, so I can BLOW THEIR MINDS with the sheer quantity and inexpensiveness of fantastic shoes (not for men, mind).

(Oh, and you will WORK those intriguing strappy white shoes!)

we do have DSW but Loehmann's is my weakness for jeans and shoes. Mostly because it's closer to my apartment but I also like their shoe selection better. Maybe because it's easier to digest.

I heard today on the radio that today is the coldest morning in New York in 4 years. I can't take it anymore.

Apparently February is meant to get really cold, but right now it's like 8 degrees celsius and sunny! I could go out in my perfect new cream flats yesterday evening, with skinny jeans.

H&M do the best flats in the world. I'm seriously buying them in every colour they have, they are the perfect ones for me.

I was looking at some earlier in H&M, plus Gap has some really nice ones too.

My lovely boyfriend bought me these shoes from Office today. I've been eyeing them up for months and months.

Very cute, perfect for your sassy style!

These are the H&M ones I have and LOVE! Faux leather which is a must for me, and perfect perfect perfect in every single way. They are so comfy and cute and perfect without being too cutesy:

I will get them in all the other colours too:

They are truly the most lovely shoes I have owned for everyday wear. Ah. And they're about 8 quid!

*gasp*

Those are GORGEOUS! I would love to skip around town in those beauties!

I don't think our H&Ms have that nice of shoes. I only recall maybe 2 or 3 ill-fitting, poorly made styles. But I haven't been to ours in a while. I'm loving that last pair of rich blue flats. I really could do with a pair of royal blue/aquamarine colored shoes. Mmm.

There's some nice shoes in M&S at the moment, ladies.....I got these two today for a grand total of 45 quid.

And I was quite tempted by these, but couldn't decide if they were quite me (they come in black too).

those are lovely! i can imagine all of you wearing that style really well. i enjoy having my low/mid-heel shoes but i do end up not wearing them very often, so i have limited myself to the two pairs i have.

i love england because i can wear flats even in january. that makes me very, very happy. as long as it's not raining or snowing i'm fine. it might look strange with a pair of black tights, flats and a duffel (skirts tend to have hemline parallel to duffel hemline) but it's comfy and it makes me feel a bit more dressed up.

They are, aren't they? Unless you want to look like an extra from The Saint, you're completely fucked these days.
