Re: shoes!
I don't suppose anyone has seen any nice tan or white coloured shoes? I'm looking for something to with this dress http://www.asos.com/Nw3/Nw3-By-Hobbs-Ho ... search&r=2 and belt http://www.dorothyperkins.com/webapp/wc ... ageSize=20. Preferably kitten heel or taller (I'm feeling brave). I've been looking for weeks, but really struggling to find something.
Just be nice to me.

Re: shoes!
i saw these today and was thinking about buying them. not sure if they're maybe too dark for what you're looking for, though.

Re: shoes!
I don't know much about shoes but I'm unemployed and have a lot of time on my hands so I found these:
shoes
shoes
shoes
shoes
shoes
Miss Selfridge have a pair in the picture on the 'shoe' section of their website that look like they might be perfect but I can't find them in the 'shoe' section. Rubbish.
Any of those any good? I could probably sit here doing this all day!

Re: shoes!
Thank you! I like the Bertie and Hush Puppie ones, but not sure they're quite right. I wish I wasn't so fussy!I ordered these from ASOS, but they they don't fit properly.
I really wish Office made these in white. They'd look great with shoe clips on the front.

Re: shoes!
Those Roberto Vianni ones are worth trying on, I reckon. Thanks for your help! If (and it's a very big if) I ever become rich you can be my personal shoe shopper.
Just be nice to me.
Re: shoes!
Sweet and snap!
Well I hope they work out.
I'm proper getting into this personal shopper lark.
I'm currently available for requests, until I resume my position on the sofa for a Treme/Bored to Death marathon.

Whoah! Mad props to La-Di-Da and her shoe-scouring skills. If you ever considered being a personal shopper or store stylist, I think you've got it!
I really fancy these white kitten heels you found but I don't like slingbacks. Ah if only they were full shoes.

There's more than one use for every part
Re: shoes!
I did try and find you some non-slingback versions of these on the internets yesterday afternoon but I failed I'm afraid.String Bean Jen wrote:Whoah! Mad props to La-Di-Da and her shoe-scouring skills. If you ever considered being a personal shopper or store stylist, I think you've got it!

I'm going shopping with my mum and sister this afternoon though so if I spy any out and about I'll let you know!
It'll give me something to do since I can't actually buy anything.

Re: shoes!
I don't like shoes. I've never worn a pair of heels, and I don't ever intend to. Trainers, on the other hand..I can type 'nike hi tops' into google images and drool all day. Trainers are bloody lovely.
five to six, that's what the time is.

Re: shoes!

I've decided to start wearing some dunlop volleys to get away from the norm. I've never seen anyone where I live with a pair, ever.

I can't wait till mine get worn in like this <3
"I don't want a sound to pretend that it's a bucket, or that it's president, or that it's in love with another sound. I just want it to be a sound."

Re: shoes!
I've been hunting all winter for boots, but seem to have failed. I started looking for knee high, but then switched to ankle boots when it looked like that was a lost cause. Now I've failed to get either! I hope this equestrian trend disappears soon, as I really don't want to look like I'm mucking out a stable.
My question is, where can I find knee high boots that are suitable for quite slim legs? All the ones I've been trying on look like wellies. I had my heart set on a pair of Camper knee highs, but they were too wide too. My calf width is 12.5"/32cm if that helps... I'm getting quite desperate now.

Re: shoes!
I have horribly skinny legs, and have found that Fly London and Dr. Martens are quite good (there are some quite nice ladylike DMs about).

Re: shoes!
I already have some fairly plain zip-up Dr.Martens (an older version that's inbetween these http://store.drmartens.co.uk/p-7815-dr- ... -boot.aspx and these http://store.drmartens.co.uk/p-8133-dr- ... boot-.aspx) but unfortunately they look like wellies now. I've seen some Fly London ones, but they're all quite chunky and I was after something a bit plainer and daintier. Most of what I wear is quite retro, so not sure DMs would look right on me anymore.
I think part of the problem is I'm too fussy!

Re: shoes!
For years the only shoes I've bought or worn are vegan Saucony sneakers, but now I've moved to colder climes and am faced with a real threat of having to walk in snow sometime; I'm afraid my usual canvas shoes won't suffice. Sooo I'm faced with having to shop for boots or something, for the first time ever, and they can't be made of animals. Looked around online, decided boots are too expensive to buy without trying on first, probably going to have to track down physical stores with vegan offerings. Just in case, does anyone here have a vegan boot that they recommend?
Meanwhile, as I was browsing online I ran across these beautiful flats. And these! Plus these stripy ones...
Basically, plenty of ways to drop cash but not in such a way that it would solve my actual problem. Ach

Re: shoes!
Hi Amanda - don't know if you've seen this, but the Ethical Consumer site has guides to shoes and trainers - maybe worth a look?

I've been very pleased with them - they're comfy and have lasted well.
