There's a super cute framed pic at Jonny's grandparents' of that particular outfit. It's so cute I want to cry. It's like a denim power suit! I'm glad it is not being repeated though..!

I've worn so many terrible crimes against fashion it's hard to choose. Particularly memorable is the 80s yellow satin blouse, blue ra-ra skirt and blue tights combo I wore to a school end-of-term party, aged 11. I had got dressed up to the nines and when I got there everyone else was wearing jeans and T-shirts. I felt a right idiot and I was stuck in it all evening.

I used to wear a vintage nurse dress for gigs. Not tacky or gross or anything, but I'm really not sure why I chose it to the day. I'm still I was making some sort of point, but one I have no way of articulating now. I only actually sold that this year.

I quite liked most of my kiddie clothes, although I had an ill advised black slogan tee/black trousers period during my goth years which I should probably forget. oh dear.

when i was 12/13 i stole my brother (five years older than me) rugby shirt, and would wear it with really dodgy jeans all the time. this then continued/developed into skater style jeans and a light blue shirt that was far too big for me that i would wear all the time.

i was a pretty akward kid. bad fringe, rubbish hair.

i also used to refuse to wear skirts from the age of 11 to 17 and just wear really baggy trousers, until someone said something about me that upset me so i decided to spite them and wear a skirt, in turn thus realising skirts totally suit me.

i have never looked back since.

actually, i have been going thru my clothes this last few weeks trying to get rid of things and ahve a bit of a clear out, it is diffulct, i have lots of nice things that i just wouldnt wear these days, lots of really kitschy stuff. odd how fashion styles change etc.
i said OK! the wind said no

I was an alien for Halloween once, and I had sunglasses that went with the costume. Then...I kept wearing them...

When I was about 13 I used to wear bad oversized plaid shirts and sometimes a baby doll dress I would purposely scruff up and tear holes in along with a feather boa and my school shoes (they were the only ones I had!). I thought it was a bit grunge/courtney love/riot grrl. I'm sorry :( this was like 1993. Forgive me?

Shortly after this I went through my britpop phase. The feather boa stayed but more day to day outfits consisted of straight leg jeans, addidas gazelles, velvet jacket and stripy top which wasn't so bad when you think about it but it all looked very 90's!

I dread photo's appearing on facebook.

And straight leg jeans are the stuff of my dreams. I do like classic trainers like that too.

In my early teens (before ballerina flats were ok to wear all the time - remember those days?!) I would wear my trainers with everything.

I caused a near riot showing up at school when I was 13 wearing these New Balance shoes (and I have never felt more nervous/excited about showing off a fashion... apart from when I wore the indie kid outfit of fitted shirt + straight leg cords + tie plus lots of eyeliner and a bit of glitter (oh dear) to my school photo when I was 14. I look like THE biggest thug ever):

But without the blue stripe, plus yellow and bright red bits. They were nearly neon, haha!

the 90s were a fashion disaster for me from start to finish, to be honest. in the early 90s i was always wearing really unflattering baggy jeans or dungarees and horrible baggy t-shirts, or really garish shell suits and horrible trainers. i believe the very early 90s was mostly about fluorescent leggings and sweatshirts. by the mid-90s i had progressed onto shapeless cords and the usual assortment of velvet jackets and weird shirts that i collected from charity shops, and black patent doc martens, which was the best of a bad decade. i went through a phase of wearing hawaiian shirts at one point too. i think i'd seen sense by maybe 98/99 and since then i don't think i've ever worn anything completely ridiculous.

I had a shirt in my first couple of years at Uni which became known as "The Shirt". Needless to say it was pretty bad in retrospect.

Ha, I don't think so! I will see if I've got a picture at home somewhere though. I doubt I have, to be honest.

It was short-sleeved and BRIGHT blue with a dark blue leaf pattern all over it.
