london shopping ala fredflare / dollydagger

Post by cupcake_love » Tue Oct 20, 2009 10:22 pm

i hate shopping clothes online, because no matter what size i choose, it always seems to be the wrong one, and going to london should be the perfect opportunity to grab a new cute dress - no?

any anorak girls that can suggest good stores with cute stuff that i need to visit?

anorak girls? you massive gender essentialist. i'm not a girl, but i do wear dresses and seeing as no one else has answered your question and see'll if i can help you out.

i don't really know london, but if you're look for stuff like what dollydagger sells you can do worse than visit Vivien of Holloway

and if you ignore their terrible name fairygothmother have some awesome dresses though DANGER some of them are utterly exorbitant, like four figure exorbitant, they do some good far cheaper stuff though.

both of them have actual real life shops in london. dunno, an actual woman might be able to help you more.

too many quirky places that you never find best to do some internet research first

predictable http://www.pop-boutique.com/html/main1f.html

and I found a fab 50's style polka dot here http://www.sevendials.co.uk/store/m--butterfly

quirky shops around Neal's Yard and St Giles High Street London

Also try Camden Passage in Islington if you like real vintage but it is pot luck and overpriced

I wanted to help Ms. Cupcake but I couldn't think of anything! How sad. Today a coworker said to me how nice I always look and asked where I shopped. It hit me that I haven't been shopping since moving over here and watching my low wages disappear on exorbitant London living! I've bought some tights and a late summer jacket I think.

So thank you for the tips for shops, shopping areas, and cute dresses, Jamie and PopSocks.
There's more than one use for every part
