Re: Band t-shirts
I'll never let go of my Smiths shirt. It's the best article of clothing I've ever worn.

Re: Band t-shirts
Im at that stage where I now recognise im the middle aged man who wears nothing but band t-shirts. I literally have drawers of the things and need to move on. How does one go about this? Charity shops? Ebay? Assign them to the loft in the hope that future generations may come to love them? Bin?
Any suggestions on how to ween me off my twee cotton addiction greatly appreciated.

I'm only 26 and I've reached the exact same conclusion.sideburnsjim wrote:Im at that stage where I now recognise im the middle aged man who wears nothing but band t-shirts.
Anyway, my advice would be to keep rocking on, but barring that, this seemed like the best option (it's what I do with t-shirts that no longer fit me, but which I can't stand to part with):
Also these sound like lyrics:Assign them to the loft in the hope that future generations may come to love them?

Re: Band t-shirts
In addition to my decade old punk and grindcore t-shirts, I recently added some fly indie pop joints to my sparse wardrobe: Sarah Records (black with a pink cat listening to a dansette. looks dope as fuck with my bullet belt), Beat Happening (cream colored with the first album cover), and Heavenly (Butterflies from "Le Jardin..."). Still rock my threadbare, faded, and ripped to shreds Strawberry Story and Fat Tulips shirts. Fuck yeah. And then my favorite of all, the maroon Go Sailor shirt with the image from the Lookout CD. One time I got a compliment after years of waiting... from someone in Dream Phone! SWOON.
