Re: Nintendo Wii
The sad truth is that Edinburgh really is a better/more interesting place to go walking or running. Somebody made me climb a hill here the other week and it was really painful. Plus I ate so much to make up for the horror of it that I ended up at possibly the heaviest I've ever been.

Re: Nintendo Wii
I had my first proper go on the Wii Fit yesterday and I am ACHING. I did step for warm-up, then mostly squats, leg extensions etc. I LOVED doing the boxing ones! I did then the jogging in place for quite a long time.
Sadly, because I'm in terrible shape, I'm aching today. My back muscles are really achey too, which is new! I think combination of the different torso twists along with the boxing created it.
Eeeee, I'm excited to do more of it tomorrow!

Re: Nintendo Wii
The other day I went to the Wii shopping channel and got a message saying I had a free NES game (a 500 point one) because the internet channel thing is now free. I guess the point of my message is that now the internet channel is free, and if you paid for it already, free NES game! I'm not sure if this only applies in the U.S. The offer was set to expire on December 31 though.

Ooh, good choice.
I'm just flicking through now, i'm thinking Double Dragon, but it's probably going to be rubbish on the NES

Re: Nintendo Wii
I love Wii tennis SO much but the last time I played I broke my friend's light fixture. I was trying to do a monstrous smash right over my head to really embarrass my opponent. The next thing I knew there was broken glass everywhere and I was only allowed to play Wii bowling.

Re: Nintendo Wii
Netflix streaming is coming to Wii!
The date is very vaguely listed as "spring." It's going to work using a disk (disc?), but if you have Netflix you can reserve the disk now and it'll be sent out once it's available.
Games related: World of Goo is fucking awesome. It was on as a free demo (maybe still is). I think I'm going to download the full version.

Wii Tennis is sooooo fantastic once you've nailed how to put mega spins on the ball. I'm still struggling with the pro wii tennis bots though.cuppie wrote:I love Wii tennis SO much but the last time I played I broke my friend's light fixture. Re: Nintendo Wii
Is that the new one? I've had that since christmas and not played it yet, but i keep looking at it on the shelf and thinking i should make a start.
Is it good?
I finished Zelda the other week, that also made me PROUD, and yet slightly disappointed that once again, and for probably the 20th time in my life i saved the stupid princess, and beat Ganondorf and made them all live happily ever after.. for another 6 months or so unitl the next one comes out.

Re: Nintendo Wii
all the time i was playing it i was reminiscing about playing it on my gameboy as a child. nothing much has changed, but that makes it good.
similarly, i was pretty pissed off that there wasn't a "choose to let peach continue to be raped by bowser" button at the end.
well maybe not raped. i did not just advocate rape.
