Why does a Vegan need a fridge

Does a Vegan need a fridge and or a freezer

I am vegetarian as I eat cheese and the fridge is useful to keep it in maybe one day I shall stop eating it and let the cows have a better life and become Vegan and if I dont have a Fridge/Freezer thats less electricity used
Apart from already cooked leftovers waiting for reheating and fruit juice I dont need a fridge My freezer has a bottle for my aching foot apart from that its empty

So what do any of you actually need a fridge for?

Fridge: soya milk, houmous, margarine, fruit juice, vegetables, salad.

Freezer: frozen veg, vegan sausages, tofu, freezing meals to be saved for later.

There is other stuff too - that's just thinking off the top of my head.

I know some of these things you don't have and some of them aren't necessary to be kept in the fridge so it might save money for you not to have fridge-freezer, or you could get one of those mini-fridges? But I think most vegans still need a fridge and freezer.
