Re: Sandwiches and issues surrounding sandwiches
Cheese and pineapple should be banned. I was at a kid's party last week and they had what I thought was a mere cheese hedgehog. Turned out to have some hidden pineapple further down the cocktail stick. I nearly boked all over a three year old playing on the trampoline.

Hear, hear. That's the end of that discussion really, from my perspective.andyroo wrote:Fruit and meat is a delicate combination, and tricky to get right at the best of times, I'm sure we all agree. There is little if any place for it in the realm of the sandwich.

was this because of the pineapple or was the trampoline making you feel sick?a layer of chips wrote:I nearly boked all over a three year old playing on the trampoline.

You bloody bunch of bloody wet liberals.
It was the pineapple and the bouncy castle making me feel sick. And the general smell of shitty nappies.

Re: Sandwiches and issues surrounding sandwiches
I was feeling a bit under the weather yesterday (and today for that matter) after my recent excesses. Anyway, I walked around for much of the day and it kind of sunny and when I got back my face had caught the sun.
It is only now I realise that the dual factors of exhaustion/sun exposure/imminent ENT infection made me TOTALLY bonkers. This can be seen by the sandwich I have for work today.
Hummus, red chilli & peas.
What the shitting fuck was I thinking?

I've never seen it spelt that way. Learning all the time.Silver Girl wrote:

The sandwich was actually dead tasty. Who knew peas go with hummus? Now I want to open up a cafe just so I can freak people out with hummus & pea sandwiches. I will call it the Chickpea-pea Sandwich. Or maybe just The Pea-Pea.
Sandwich!

Meriel Parallelogram introduced me to the hummus and baked beans sandwich - very yummy!

That's sounds dangerously runny with plenty of opportunity to make a bleedin' mess of yourself (especially on a workshirt/tie).tonieee wrote:Meriel Parallelogram introduced me to the hummus and baked beans sandwich - very yummy!

You do have to make sure you drain the beans but yes it's very messy!roundbitsofplastic wrote:That's sounds dangerously runny with plenty of opportunity to make a bleedin' mess of yourself (especially on a workshirt/tie).tonieee wrote:Meriel Parallelogram introduced me to the hummus and baked beans sandwich - very yummy!

That sounds like the runniest sandwich concept since De Condensed Milk sandwiches that Algernon Winston Spencer Castleray Razamatazz used to scoff on Tiswas. This is what they want...

To anyone who might care, it appears that Boots have stopped stocking the Bugsy sandwich (carrot/spinach/hummus)and there's a [url=http://www.change.org/petitions/boots-bring-back-bugsy]petition to get it back.
